As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a gangster . . . no, hang on, that’s Henry Hill from Goodfellas. Let’s start again.
As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a writer. The great thing about Writing is the only thing you need to do to actually achieve it . . . is to WRITE! So that’s what I’ve been doing, with scripts, songs, short stories, monologues and novels.
The Bio . . .
In 2014 Wayne co-created the The Joined Up Writing Podcast where he has interviewed dozens of successful authors and key members of the Publishing industry. There’s a huge archive of blog posts, interviews and more over at joinedupwriting.co.uk and you can subscribe on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and all good podcatchers.
In 2019, he wrote and directed ‘INKLING’, a short film selected and screened as an official selection at the International HorrorHound Film Festival in Ohio, and winner of several other awards. In 2020, he wrote and directed the acclaimed short drama ‘LIFE SUPPORT’, shot entirely remotely during lockdown which you can watch here.
He produced the award-winning feature-length documentary, ‘NO FARE: THE SIAN GREEN STORY’, which had its world cinema premiere in 2022, and has written several novels, including his crime debut, Safe Hands which is out now with Pick Lock Publishing.
His short stories have been shortlisted and published in a number of anthologies and his monologues performed on stage and for film – like this one on YouTube here
More recently, he has successfully run several sessions of his ‘Big Screen’ Writing workshop, a fun interactive one day workshop designed to help novelists use screenwriting techniques to improve their books.
